Her name is Gigi. She came into the rescue about 4 weeks ago & has been with my daughter. I have not put her up for adoption as we already have so many older ones needing homes first & I just know everyone will want her as she is just a baby.
She will be going to a family home with possibly another dog & definately children

Yep they are the ones.
Grand Daughter wants to keep her, but I said no.
They are only allowed 2 permanant dogs & one foster at any one time, but even if that was not the rules of the housing association I would still say no. Cannot keep them all.
I know I am a hard faced cow but we already have 3 horses which takes up a lot of Janines time.

You are NOT a hard faced cow, you just try to be fair and to stick to the rules!

Re: DOG SHOW 2012
It seems harder to foster for girls I always think when they have to move onto their new homes.
I am not saying its easy for boys either, you just can't cuddle horses the same.

PS has anyone got a pic of Ben winning 3rd in Best Veteran pleeeease, only we lost his rosette in the "scuffle" and never got a pic, did wonder if he was disqualified for such bad behaviour after and his yellow rosette confiscated

Re: DOG SHOW 2012
Lovely to see all the photographs, especially all the little dogs, but I do like those Weimaraners, such lovely, elegant dogs but like Lesley says they are a bit big and energetic for me too. Who do they belong to- a peep on here or were they visitors?

I don't know who's the weimaraners were, but they were beooootiful, very proud looking dogs, but wow, how much walking/running would they need - out of my league, needless to say!!!

Yes Lesley, I always think they look so.....'Regal'- saw one once at Wood Green Animal Shelter. A lovely dog but glad I didn't apply for it knowing how much exercise it would have needed would have run me ragged

Re: DOG SHOW 2012
A neighbour had a Weimaraner next door, I don't remember them taking it out much, I have heard they can be difficult he seemed very quiet could have been an older dog when they moved here, hae been gone quite a while now and several families since, something I did perhaps? (not a council house for a long time)

Re: DOG SHOW 2012
That's Joey and my wife. Joey managed to get 2nd in Best Crossbreed, much to our daughter's delight. He's turned into a bit of a prima donna since then though
Think we have some more photos so will try and sort them out next week.
Great day - everyone from our tribe really enjoyed it

Re: DOG SHOW 2012
I had a really nice day too....
I snaffled some GiGi cuddles and fell in love a bit I have to admit...
and then Chilli Bean cosied down with me whilst her Mum was judging but she kept half an eye on her at all times so no chance of me sneaking off with her I'm afraid
The sunshine mostly favoured the day and there was a really good turn out from lots of peeps.
Hoping lots of pennies were raised for the rescue x x x
