I don't want to be a killjoy, but don't they all look nice, handsome, all as Tilly very astutely says 'seem' nice....There's lots of Yorkies on lots of rescue sites. There's lots and lots of poodles (my faves) on rescues too, breaks my heart every one. Lots and lots of dogs full stop. What can we do.

Teddy and the poodles look lovely. Why oh why are there so many poor dogs needing to be rehomed. Heartbreaking.

I did think about it, but I think I would prefer to stick to here, I am starting to know the people and would be nice as I could keep everyone up to date, plus I want to foster aswell, so I am going to try and keep to here Smile

You can still stay on here, even if you do decide to adopt from another Rescue, we like to hear how all little doggies are getting on, regardless of where they come from, although it is nice to see our own little ones rehomed, sometimes it just doesn't work out that way. I'm sure there's nothing to stop you applying to foster once your new little one had settled and you knew what their character was like.

Sorry it is not set in stone, but is etiquette among rescues. We always like to get permission from the actual rescue as some really do not like others posting their dogs on other forums etc. I must admit I get annoyed when people do it to us without asking as we still get calls about dogs that have been homed for months which wastes our time etc. If you want to contact them & ask them & they are ok with it then as long as it is a rescue that is reputable I am happy to allow it. Hope this helps. As I said sorry it is not set in stone, but I suppose we just all assume everyone knows these things.

Teddy PDD 815117 no worries. Some rescues get really funny about cross posting & there are some rescues that I would definately not allow on here. Teddy PDD 815117 Chill Teddy PDD 20480 Teddy PDD 419310 Bud

We regularly look at PDD because they are based in Ditton, where we live. They rarely get Yorkies on their site. I made enquiries about adopting Teddy but he is already reserved, pending a home check. Note to self - must act quicker! Sad
