Titch - Yorkie x and Sam - Chihuahua x have come into Hope's care as there owner has sadly passed away. They are currently on foster in Ludlow, Shropshire.

Sam and Titch - 2 littlies with Hope Rescue SamandTitch

Sam (8yrs) and Titch (4yrs) are a delightful pair. They are fully housetrained, have basic training, walk well on or off leash and have excellent recall. They can be left for up to 4 hours with no problems.

Sam and Titch - 2 littlies with Hope Rescue SamandTitch3

Sam and Titch have previously lived with cats and have been great with all children they have met do far.

Sam and Titch - 2 littlies with Hope Rescue SamandTitch2

Titch will fit into any home, quiet or busy, but best with human company most of the time. Very attached to Sam who he has lived with and who he likes to “look after”.

Sam is a very active little dog who rarely sleeps during the day preferring to follow you around. He is devoted to Titch and looks to him if he is unsure about things. He loves to play with my other dogs, usually being the one to start a game. An active household would be great for him as he is a “busy” dog. That said his favourite activity is sleeping on your lap.

Sam and Titch - 2 littlies with Hope Rescue SamandTitch4

Sam and Titch want to be 'together forever' We want them to be together forever too. Therefore Hope will only be asking for a single rehoming donation for the little cuties.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk

The Yorkie looks a little fat around the tummy, but they are both adorable, hope they find new homes soon.

Hi I applied for Sam and Titch but unfortunately Titch has a heart murmur and so won't be rehomed. The foster carer is keeping him and I wasn't suitable to have Sam as he has to go to a family because he is so active??? Possibly needs to be with another dog. Just feel so sorry that he is being taken away from his pal.

We will have to meet when the next school holidays roll around. You can meet Alfie and Archie. Diane is also from around here. Perhaps we can form a splinter group.....xx

Awww shame they are going to be split up.... Sad

Having a heart murmer shouldnt stop them going together Question
Is it because of the possible medication costs, my Tiny had a grade 4 heart murmer but lasted many years on medication and was fairly active...

Yes Sam arrived with Titch and they were to be rehomed together. Unfortunately Titch has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart and liver and is now on medication and further observations with the vet. It has now been decided that it would be in both dogs interest for Sam to be rehomed seperately as Titch needs specialist care and will remain a Hope foster dog. Sam is a young active dog and after long talks it is felt he would be better rehomed sepereately as Titch is struggling.

This means Sam is looking for a very special home who can help him adapt to life without Titch.

Sam will be looking for a home where there is at least one existing dog to be his new playmate and snuggle buddy. He loves to play with my other dogs, usually being the one to start a game.

He is fully housetrained, has basic training, walks well on or off leash and has excellent recall.

Sam has previously lived with cats and have been great with all children they have met do far.

Sam is an active little dog who rarely sleeps during the day preferring to follow you around. An active household would be great for him as he is a “busy” dog. That said his favourite activity is sleeping on your lap.

Sam will be looking for a new home where he will not be left for long periods as he likes to be close to his humans. In foster he has been left for up to 4 hours without issues, however, this is with the company of his old pal Titch.

However Sam is welcome to stay with his fosterer and Titch until a suitable home is found

Sam and Titch are now reserved and WILL be going as a pair. Titch is doing great on his meds and his home offer has offered to take both Sam and Titch together. Hope will pay for Titch's ongoing care.
