Pluto is a 12 month old jack russell and is currently on foster in Cardiff.
The Pluto Fact File
Dog status: pluto can be fearful of other dogs and bark at them, his foster family are working on this and helping him to socialise. He would like a home as the only dog.
Cat status: Unknown
Child status: Pluto has previously lived with children before he came in to our care, he could be rehomed with dog savvy children of 10 years up
House training: Good but still needs a little help and the odd reminder!
Home alone: Happy to be left for short periods
Basic training: Knows how to sit and stay, he is currently learning to walk nicely on the lead as he can pull
Special skill: Loves running beside a bike!

Pluto is a lovely little lad, a pocket rocket you could say. He has settled in to his foster home beautifully and is coming on leaps and bounds.
Pluto came in to our care when his owner could no longer look after him. He was not well socialised previously and this has left him fearful and sometimes reactive around other dogs. He does however prefer the females of the species. He would like a home as the only dog with a patient owner who will continue his training and socialisation.
Pluto's lack of socialisation and exposure to the big wide world has also left him a bit backwards in coming forwards with strangers. He needs time to warm up to new people before they get to see the real, relaxed Mr Pluto.
It also means he does not like loud noises when out on a walk, for example the air brakes of a bus can make him jump.
Pluto has previously lived with children before he came in to our care and was well behaved and happy around them. However, his nervous behaviour does mean we can only rehome him with kind, polite children aged 10 years plus.
Pluto is happy to be left for a few hours as long as he has had a walk and he is not disruptive and does not kick up a fuss. He is house trained but does need the odd nudge to go outside as he is not good at asking himself.
What Pluto will need in reassurance and guidance he will give back in buckets with love, devotion and wonderful companionship.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK.
