Fudge is an approx 12 month old terrier cross. Fudge is fully assessed from a foster home but has had to move to kennels due to a change at his foster home. He is looking for a foster home to offer him temporary B&B or a forever home asap. He is currently in Newport, Wales.
The Fudgey Fact File
Dog status: Good
Cat status: May chase, would be better rehomed without cats
Child status: Good, could be rehomed with children aged 5 years plus who are used to dogs
House training: Good
Home alone: Fine for short periods
Basic training: Knows the basics but he is a bright dog and would love to learn more.
Fudge is everything a terrier should be, bright, enthusiastic about life, comical, loving and fun. He has settled very well in his foster home and has been a very good boy. Fudge is good with other dogs out on walks. In the home he can be a little jealous of another dog getting attention and he may be best suited as a single dog or with a very laid back female companion.
Fudge has not been formally cat tested and is not living with cats in foster. However, he does have a chase instinct and has shown an interest in cats he has seen out on walks which mean she would be best rehomed without feline friends.
Fudge is a confident and well socialised dog with people and is good with adults and children alike. He could be rehomed with children over the age of 5 years however, they would need to be respectful and used to dogs. Fudge is very cute and cuddly and a child should not be allowed to treat him like a teddy bear.
Fudge is an intelligent dog who has some basic training and has been having fun learning tricks in his new home. He has not been let of the lead as he came in to our care as a stray and care would have to be taken to bond with him and build on recall gradually.
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
